The Design view provides a complete WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get) editor for editing your web documents. Use this view if you are new to HTML or if you are looking to quickly prototype a page. By using a WYSIWYG editor, you do not need to know about the code underlying the page. Editing a web document in this view is the same as editing a document in an advanced word processing application. You can visually change text alignment, indentation, font faces, sizes, colors, add anchors, images, add and modify tables, lists, and much more by using the Design view toolbars. The Design view also supports drag and drop and multiple undo/redo levels.
To access a context menu for an element that is selected in the editor, right-click on the element. The options on this menu vary based on the type of element selected.
There are a couple options that can be set in Design view, which can be set in the Design view toolbars.
The Show Borders command flags whether to show all hidden table borders.
The Show Details command flags whether to reveal the location of special tags
